The Hogging Up BBQ Festival started in 2013. The first event was held at the Frederick County Fairgrounds off Route 11 in Winchester, VA (Clear Brook, VA) and encompassed music,vendors and a bunch of barbecue !  There was a public barbecue tour in conjunction with a sanctioned KCBS BBQ Competition.  Our goal was to raise money to help community,  local and national non-profits and we did just that, thanks to the community support we received.   The Clear Brook Volunteer Fire Department received $400, the Assembly of God Church $600 and some food donations for their food sales at the fair,  the Local Exchange Club of Winchester received 100% profits off the beer and wine and together all of us (even some BBQ teams) helped raise $2194 for Cancer Care!

This was an amazing accomplishment for a first year event and we’d like to thank our 2013 sponsors!  We are looking for sponsors for the 2014 event!
